Bob joined dhf  in 2009. He has been involved in the lock and hardware industry for many years. Previously managing director of Chubb Locks and UNION Locks, Bob worked for ASSA ABLOY before joining dhf. He was chairman of the Association of Building Hardware Manufacturers from 1994-1996.   Bob is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the business.

Michael became general manager and secretary of dhf on its formation in 2004, having been secretary of its predecessors Association of Builders’ Hardware Manufactures and Door & Shutter Manufacturers’ Association since 1987.  Michael has responsibility for representing members' technical interests.  He also gives advice to members on standards and legislation as well as representing dhf membership in the UK and Europe on various committees and boards.  Michael also delivers training on garage door safety and assists BRE on the Fire Door Safety training.

Nick joined dhf in April 2014 and was at the forefront of the Automated Gate Group Safety Diploma Course which he has developed into what it is today.   To date, Nick has trained nearly 1000 people in automated gate safety.  Not content to sit back and let the grass grow beneath his feet, Nick constantly updates the courses in line with the latest guidelines so the industry is getting the very latest training available.

Michael Lee, born in Co. Wicklow in Ireland has been involved in the automatic gate industry from an early age with his father’s gate automation company. He studied Engineering Systems Maintenance in Dublin Institute of Technology and graduated in 2009 before going on to do an apprenticeship as an electrician and qualifying in 2014. During this time, he worked as an automatic gate technician and continued to do so until late 2015. In July 2017 he started working with dhf providing training in automated gate safety.

Patricia joined dhf  in October 2015.  She has over 20 years’ marketing experience and was previously a marketing and quality assurance consultant for a variety of organisations in diverse sectors.  Her overall aim is to raise the profile of dhf.  To this end, she has introduced changes at dhf with the new website, logo, and literature style.  She has responsibility for, brand management, events and exhibitions, oversees and manages press release activity and promotional advertising amongst other things.  Patricia is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Kay has been with dhf for over 29 years and has seen many changes! She started as Senior Secretary and has progressed to Manager of the Administration Team and is our grammar guru.  She takes care of the day to day running of Head Office, and what Kay doesn’t know about dhf, isn’t worth knowing.

Beth has been with dhf since March 2013 and her role has changed somewhat.  Due to the ever-increasing demand for training, as of January 2017, Beth’s sole responsibility is everything related to training.  This includes the organising of venues, taking bookings, updating the information on the website and organising private courses.  Beth is also responsible for reporting and administrating the dhf Training Academy website.

Jo joined the dhf  admin team in November 2016 and hit the ground running.  Her main tasks include everything related to membership as well as organising and taking minutes of meetings for all the dhf groups as well as any additional meetings.  She also has responsibility for database maintenance and is a wiz on ACT.

Elaine works part-time, but what she fits in to her 5 hours each day is amazing!  Elaine is one of life’s gems and since she joined dhf in January 2015 she has been keeping everyone ticking along smoothly.  If you need anything sorting, ordering, or investigating, she can be relied upon to do the job!

Helen joined dhf in its former life in October 1996, and has responsibility for all things related to accounts, from raising invoices to chasing for payment!  She has the task of ensuring all payments are made on time and prepares all the year-end returns for the accountants. Helen keeps everyone paid each month so is our best friend.
