Gate Safety Week blog

Gate Safety Week – a dhf initiative:

It is now four years since we started the ‘Gate Safety Week’ campaign.  Surely, but steadily, we are making progress in educating the public and raising awareness of the dangers of poorly fitted and maintained automated gates and thankfully, we’re heading in the right direction.  Through its training programme, Technical Specifications, and collaborative working, dhf has seen a vast improvement in the quality of gate installations as well as the knowledge of installers in the UK.

In addition, dhf members must abide by the Code of Practice for the Design, Manufacture, Installation and Maintenance of Powered Gates and Traffic Barriers (DHF TS 011:2016) which provides a framework to ensure a gate is safe and therefore complies with the law.

Keep an eye out for blogs throughout the year that all relate to our Gate Safety Week campaign...
