dhf is involved in the creation of British and European Standards affecting the industry and sits on numerous boards and standards setting committees in the UK and Europe. These include BSI Standards Setting Committees, specific product technical committees, CEN (European Committee for Standardisation), as well as being represented in Europe by having a member actively involved with ARGE (English translation - The European Federation of Associations of Lock and Builders’ Hardware Manufacturers).
As a dhf member you can attend meetings where the dhf Secretariat is present. The Secretariat represents dhf members on committees and at meetings with the UK Government to discuss standards within the industry. This enables you to have your input into the development of standards in the UK as well as Europe, so you help to shape the industry in which you work.
