Criteria

All members and applicants must satisfy the following criteria

MUST BE TECHNICALLY COMPETENT
- must be carrying on a business including any of the following activities: manufacture; installation; repair; maintenance; marketing; component supply; testing; certification; distribution; other professional advice or service in relation to any of the following products: industrial & commercial gates, doors, shutters and barriers; domestic garage doors; pedestrian doors; building hardware
- must have an acceptable Factory Production Control
MUST BE FINANCIALLY STABLE
- in possession of a tax exemption certificate (where relevant)
- operate a landline telephone 0900 -1700 hrs Monday to Friday
- annual turnover falls above £¼ m
- a satisfactory credit check is carried out

On acceptance into membership, all members shall observe and comply with requirements of the Federation's Code of Conduct at all times
