Industrial doors & shutters training

/media/training/library/industrial_training.jpg

dhf offers an industry-wide training scheme as part of its drive to increase levels of safety in the industrial doors and roller shutters sector.  Training courses take place throughout the year and are open to dhf members as well as non-members.

The dhf 2-day Industrial Door Safety Diploma Each course takes place over two days. Whilst the course could benefit some engineers, it is primarily suitable for those persons responsible for legal compliance within their industrial door companies.

It is also suitable for Garage Door companies who are involved in more complex activities, such as modifying standard products during installation in ways not covered by the manufacturer’s instructions or obtaining components from multiple suppliers to create a new door.

The course will provide delegates with a greater understanding of legislation affecting the supply, installation, inspection, risk assessment, maintenance, and repair of industrial doors.

We are pleased to announce a new 1-day Industrial Door Safety Certificate course ideal for installers and maintenance engineers of industrial doors and shutters who are supervised by a dhf Industrial Door Safety Diploma holder.  Open initially to members of dhf only but will be rolled out to non-members in Spring 2018.

This 1-day course now increases our training offering and complements the original 2-day Safety Diploma course, but does not replace it.

To make a provisional booking, simply click on your preferred date in the calendar below and complete the short registration form.  Upon receipt, you will be forwarded a comprehensive booking form to complete.

For queries related to training please email Beth.

Terms and conditions apply.

The target audiences for this course are owners, facility managers, supervisors and installers.  It will also benefit those persons responsible for the legal compliance aspect for the installation of industrial doors.

It is assumed that installers attending will already have a working knowledge of the installation process.  The training does not provide the detailed electrical knowledge associated with the installation of an industrial door, however electrical safety is covered during the course.
