Bob joined dhf  in 2009. He has been involved in the lock and hardware industry for many years. Previously managing director of Chubb Locks and UNION Locks, Bob worked for ASSA ABLOY before joining dhf. He was chairman of the Association of Building Hardware Manufacturers from 1994-1996.   Bob is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the business.

Michael became general manager and secretary of dhf on its formation in 2004, having been secretary of its predecessors Association of Builders’ Hardware Manufactures and Door & Shutter Manufacturers’ Association since 1987.  Michael has responsibility for representing members' technical interests.  He also gives advice to members on standards and legislation as well as representing dhf membership in the UK and Europe on various committees and boards.  Michael also assists BRE on the Fire Door Safety training.

Patricia joined dhf  in October 2015.  She has over 25 years’ marketing experience and was previously a marketing and quality assurance consultant for a variety of organisations in diverse sectors.  Her overall objective is to raise the profile of dhf.  To this end, she has introduced changes at dhf with the revised branding, accreditation of training and the provision of CSCS card offering to name a few.  She has overall strategic responsibility for the commercial department which includes marketing, training and membership.  She holds 'member' status of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Nick joined dhf  in April 2014 and was at the forefront of the Automated Gate Group Safety Diploma Course which he has developed into what it is today.   To date, Nick has trained nearly 1500 people in automated gate and industrial & garage door safety.  Not content to sit back and let the grass grow beneath his feet, Nick constantly updates the courses in line with the latest guidelines so the industry is getting the very latest training available.  He is always working tirelessly to help companies become compliant and install safe machines.

Steve has over 30 years' experience in the industry and has worked for a few companies who are current dhf members.  Steve has represented his past employers at various dhf group meetings and is now pleased to be sitting on the other side.  His main role is to deliver the suite of training courses offered by dhf as well as developing and delivering our collaborative training with BRE and to support the technical email helpdesk.

Kay has been with dhf for over 31 years and has seen many changes! She started as Senior Secretary and has progressed to Manager of the Administration Team and is our grammar guru.  She takes care of the day to day running of Head Office, and what Kay doesn’t know about dhf, isn’t worth knowing.

Beth has been with dhf since March 2013 and her role has changed somewhat.  Due to the ever-increasing demand for training, as of January 2017, Beth’s sole responsibility is everything related to training.  This includes the organising of venues, taking bookings, updating the information on the website and organising private courses.  Beth is also responsible for reporting and administrating the dhf Training Academy website.

Frank McKinneyFrank McKinney – Marketing Co-ordinator

Frank joined dhf from a diverse role that brought him to the Four Shires area and dhf after moving to the Midlands 16 years ago from the United States. As Marketing Co-ordinator, Frank will be handling all of the marketing needs of the federation. You'll see his handiwork on the dhf social media portals, across the website and in your email inboxes.

Melissa ShawMelissa Shaw – Membership Co-ordinator

Melissa joined dhf as a temp early 2020 and was successful in her application for the role of Membership Co-ordinator. Her main responsibilities focus on all things to do with membership, including membership applications and the recruitment process for dhf. Melissa may be the newest member of the team but she has a passion for working with people and loves to get stuck in!

Jo joined the dhf  admin team in November 2016 and hit the ground running.  Her main tasks include everything related to admin as well as organising and taking minutes of meetings for all the dhf groups as well as any additional meetings.  She also has responsibility for database maintenance and is a wiz on ACT.

Elaine works part-time, but what she fits in to her 5 hours each day is amazing!  Elaine is one of life’s gems and since she joined dhf in January 2015 she has been keeping everyone ticking along smoothly.  If you need anything sorting, ordering, or investigating, she can be relied upon to do the job!

Helen joined dhf in its former life in October 1996, and has responsibility for the accounts, from raising invoices to chasing for payment!  She has the task of ensuring all payments are made on time and prepares all the year-end returns for the accountants. Helen keeps everyone paid each month so is our best friend.

Claire is here to support with the administration of the dhf training function.  She's been a part of dhf  since October 2018 working in admin, but moved into her current role in April 2019.  Claire is an integrul part of the team and keeps everyone in check with the online bookings and private course bookings.
