Make Sure Your Fire Doors Are Maintained So They Can Save Lives & Property

Matters around fire door safety issues have increased in the last year and there are facilities and property managers who are still not fully aware of their responsibilities when it comes to fire door maintenance.

With contractors still falling short on their inspection it is paramount that individuals are educated as to the risks around poorly maintained fire doors and the wider roles about how vital fire doors are in saving lives and protecting property.

With that in mind dhf is working in conjunction with BRE on a series of one day training workshops around fire door safety and inspection.

The brief aims of the course are:

  • To provide a thorough the understanding of the regulations and standards applying to fire doors
  • Knowledge of the different types of fire doors and their installation, repair and maintenance
  • Appreciate the importance of critical components such as door closers and hinges
  • Understand how to set up hinged doors to comply with disabled access requirements

Companies or individuals wishing to book onto the Fire Door Education programme should contact BRE directly via the bre website.
