Security & Emergency Exit Doorsets – (non-fire) exclusively for dhf members

This course is ideal for installation, repair and maintenance engineers of non-fire rated doorsets.  It may be of interest to office staff or those with responsibility for engineers, who wish to increase their knowledge of the subject matter. 

Delegates will receive 6 hours of CPD and a certificate of attendance. There is no formal examination or qualification attached to it. 

The course comprises six units and delegates attending will complete a workbook throughout the day that they will take away to use as the supporting documentation.

Those attending will gain:

• An understanding of the legislation relating to doorsets - Unit 1
• An understanding of the standards relating to doorsets - Unit 2
• An understanding of the possibilities for, and limitations on, modification of individual door types - Unit 3.1
• An understanding of the consequences of specification decisions - Unit 3.2
• An understanding of the processes involved in installation - Unit 4
• An understanding of the requirements for the automating of existing doors - Unit 5
• An understanding of access control options - Unit 6

Additional information

Please note: it is assumed that anyone attending either course will already have a working knowledge of the installation process. This course doesn’t cover the actual installation of doorsets.

We recommend that those with barriers to learning such as dyslexia or difficulty in reading and writing to please inform dhf training staff before attending a course, so additional support can be provided where required.
