The learner's journey

Pick your options

All learners are required to complete the mandatory core module, which comprises six guided learning videos and multiple-choice exams, together with at least one of the 12 product modules, with the option to complete additional modules as required.

This flexibility makes the programme ideal for both existing employees and those new to the industry, and it can be easily incorporated into onboarding and ongoing development plans.

Learn at your own pace

Your study guide & qualification handbook

Learners will also be able to download a study guide to support their learning, providing the module learning outcomes, guided note-taking space and prompts to reinforce key concepts.

Achieve your qualification

Upon successful completion of the course, learners will have demonstrated their understanding of the fundamental principles of building hardware and strengthened the knowledge required to support competence within their role.

Learners receive a Level 2 Certificate in Core Competencies: Understanding Building Hardware. The certificate will contain a list of all the additional modules completed as well as an Ofqual-branded certificate from the Awarding Body, ABBE.
