This module helps learners understand cylinder locks and their role in security. It covers how cylinders work, their benefits and key features. Learners will identify different cylinder types, formats, and components, as well as keying options like keyed alike and master keyed.
The module also explains cylinder functions and security features like anti-drill and anti-snap.
Learners will explore key types, including serrated, reversible and patented systems, gaining practical knowledge for security applications.
