DHF apprenticeship programme dates

Current timetable for the Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship

This page provides the latest academic timetable for the specialist apprenticeship programme delivered by DHF in partnership with Train’d Up for the door, gate and shutter sector.

The programme combines engineering knowledge, practical workplace development, the NOCN Level 2 NVQ Diploma and relevant DHF safety training.

Enrolment is available throughout the year

Employers do not need to enrol an apprentice before the academic timetable begins. The apprenticeship can start at any point during the year once eligibility checks and onboarding have been completed.

The relevant DHF training will normally begin approximately three weeks after the apprentice starts their programme.

The dates below relate specifically to the scheduled, tutor-led online learning for the EAL Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Operations (Knowledge). Train’d Up will confirm the learning arrangements that apply to each apprentice during enrolment.

The week beginning 5 October 2026 is the start of the scheduled online learning calendar—not a deadline for joining the programme. Employers can register and begin the enrolment process at any point during the year.
