General door hardware

This module covers general door hardware, their functions and uses. Learners will explore handles, escutcheons, spindles, pull handles and flush pulls, along with door protection, letter plates, knockers and numerals. It also includes cylinder pulls, door chains (DHF TS 003:2012 Door Chains and Limiters), door viewers (DHF TS 002:2009 Door Viewers), door stops and door bolts.
Additionally, the module introduces learners to finger protection and anti-ligature furniture (DHF TS 001:2013 Enhanced Requirements & Test Methods for Anti-Ligature Hardware).
