This module provides an overview of mortice and rim locks, their importance, and key differences. Learners will explore mortice lever and cylinder locks, how they are measured, and their applications.

The module also covers Scandinavian, aluminium, and multipoint locks, as well as rim locks, cabinet & cupboard locks, knobsets, mechanical digital locks and how locks can be fitted to glass doors, ensuring a broad knowledge of locking mechanisms for various applications.
