Announcing the ABBE Level 2 Award in Automated Gate & Traffic Barrier Safety from dhf

The 1-day Automated Gate Safety Certificate course is now even better than ever.   Re-designed in a way that is easier to digest and accredited to offer a formal qualification.  The course is ideal for installers and maintenance engineers of automated gates and traffic barriers.

This 1-day course is still available as a non-accredited option and complements the 2-day Safety Diploma course, but does not replace it.

dhf members please note: It is a requirement of your membership that those who attend the 1-day Automated Gate Safety Certificate are supervised by a dhf Automated Gate Safety Diploma holder.

dhf 2-day Automated Gate & Traffic Barrier Safety Diploma - incorporating the 1-day Level 2 Award

This ever popular course continues to be offered throughout the UK and takes place over two days. Whilst the course could benefit some engineers, it is primarily suitable for those persons responsible for legal compliance within their automated gate companies, with influence to change legal compliance processes.

The course will provide delegates with a greater understanding of legislation affecting the supply, installation, inspection, risk assessment, maintenance, and repair of automated gates.

Each course takes place over two days and focuses on technical safety procedures. The course is classroom based and covers all aspects of gate safety from initial risk assessment through to force testing. It will ensure that installers and managers are fully conversant with all relevant safety regulations, can prepare a technical file and can issue a Declaration of Conformity.

This 2-day course incorporates the 1-day Level 2 course (above) and therefore delegates may want to take the opportunity to have the first day accredited.  It is recognised as one of the most comprehensive training courses in the automated gate industry.

To make a booking on either course, simply click on your preferred date in the calendar below and complete the short booking form.  Remember to tick the box if you wish to have it accredited.  Complete and pay for your training.  It's that simple.  Upon receipt of payment you will receive your pre-course information in an automatically generated email.  Remember to bring your formal photographic form of ID with you on the day.

It is assumed that anyone attending either course will already have a working knowledge of the installation process.  Furthermore, although electrical safety is covered during both courses, the training does not provide the detailed electrical knowledge associated with the installation of an automated gate or traffic barrier.

All learners are reminded that if you have a barrier to learning such as dyslexia or difficulty in reading and writing that you must let dhf know beforehand so extra support can be provided.

Those with barriers to learning would be best attending a course based at Tamworth where extra help can be provided .

All courses are run on a pass/fail basis and marked independently.  No communication will be entered into with the trainer.

For queries related to training please email the training department. training@dhfonline.org.uk.
